As the November wind teases, the anticipation for the Hawaiian Airlines Made in Maui County Festival on November 3rd and 4th skyrockets. The Maui Arts and Cultural Center will buzz with excitement as local artisans unveil a treasure trove of homemade goods. From twinkling jewelry, artsy creations, to scrumptious bites and fashionable threads, it's a Hawaiian spectacle not to be missed.

Pumpkin Enthusiasts, Rejoice!
October 1st is not just another day; it’s the day the Kula Pumpkin Patch throws open its gates. It’s a call to embrace the simple joys of picking the perfect pumpkin, wandering around the farm stand, and soaking in the tranquil Upcountry vistas. Mid-October brings a dash of sporty zest with the 26th Annual Roy Yamaguchi Golf Classic on the 13th, part of the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival. Golf aficionados, get ready to swing amidst the scenic beauty of the Kaanapali Golf Course, followed by a delightful gourmet feast.

Hawaii Food & Wine Festival Ocean’s 13:
Indulge in ten exquisite surf and turf creations at this splendid tasting event under the starlit sky at the Sheraton. Culinary virtuosos will craft delectable bites from both local and distant waters, while attendees savor an array of the world’s finest wines and cocktails curated by HFWF mixologists. The Sheraton Maui is extending special room rates for attendees of the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival. This event is exclusively for those aged 21 and above.
 
 
2023 Maui Steel Guitar Festival:
Make your way to the Shops of Wailea to revel in the melodious tunes of Maui's premier steel guitar maestros. This event unfolds over five hours of musical bliss, showcasing not only seasoned performers but also the rising stars among keiki steel guitar artists. The musical celebration extends into the next day at the Queen Kaahumanu Center. Be there from 11 am to 4 pm to soak in the harmonious vibes.

Paddle For Life:
The Paddle For Life event is a blend of community spirit and the will to make a difference. Paddle across the azure waters from North Kihei to Molokini and back, supporting the Pacific Cancer Foundation with every stroke.

Hawaii Food and Wine Festival: Livin’ La Vita Vino:
Indulge in the flavors of Italy with a sumptuous five-course dinner, each paired with a fine wine, at the Westin Maui Resort and Spa on October 15th. Chef Yoshi Kizu will collaborate with Michelin-starred chefs to craft dishes that whisk guests away to the Mediterranean shores. The Westin Maui extends special room rates for those attending the festival. This event is exclusively for individuals aged 21 and above.

Champagne Hale at the Cliff House:
As the month progresses, the Champagne Hale at Cliff House on the 19th and Festivals of Aloha Wailea on the 20th add a sparkle to the island’s ambiance. Let the effervescence of champagne meet the magic of a Maui sunset, and immerse in the cultural richness of Hawaii at the Festivals of Aloha Wailea.

Festivals of Aloha Across Maui:
Kick off the festivities on Aloha Friday, October 13, at Queen Ka‘ahumanu Shopping Center from 5pm-8pm, where an evening filled with Hawaiian cultural exhibits, interactive activities, melodious Hawaiian music, and enchanting hula performances awaits you. The celebration continues in Hāna on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Hana Ballpark, starting with a vibrant Hāna Parade at 11am featuring the Hāna Royal Court, colorful floats, a Grand Marshall, a marching band, and Zenshin Daiko (Taiko), followed by a captivating magic show, and culminating in a lively Ho‘olaule‘a from 10am - 3pm with ‘ono local eats and a showcase of Hand made in Hawaii artists and vendors, not to mention a Sports Night at the Park from 5pm - 9pm filled with tennis, volleyball, corn hole, and other engaging games. Come 28th October, Originating from Louisiana, Marc Broussard is a gifted singer-songwriter known for his ability to modernize classic R&B, rock, and soul melodies. Coconut Husking at the Shops: Every week from 2:30 to 3:30 pm, the Shops of Wailea host demonstrations showcasing both traditional and contemporary techniques of husking a coconut. Discover how Hawaiians utilized every part of the coconut for food, crafting eating utensils, jewelry, and even furniture.

Polynesian Show at the Shops: This recurring show emphasizes Hawaiian hula along with other Polynesian dances. The performance is held at the Shops of Wailea from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.

Wednesdays

Polynesian Show at the Shops: This weekly spectacle highlights Hawaiian hula and other Polynesian dances, captivating audiences at the Shops of Wailea from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.

Coconut Husking at the Shops: From 2:30 to 3:30 pm, the Shops of Wailea host a demonstration on the age-old and modern techniques of husking a coconut. Explore how Hawaiians utilized every part of the coconut, from food to crafting eating utensils, jewelry, and furniture.

Coconut Frond Weaving at the Shops: Guests are invited by the Shops of Wailea to experience the intricate Hawaiian craft of weaving using coconut fronds. This ancient skill was employed to create baskets, mats, and toys. The event occurs weekly from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Fridays

Papa Hula at the Shops: Celebrate the Hawaiian culture at the Shops of Wailea with Papa Hula. Revel in a complimentary dance lesson, adorned with costumes and accessories, while learning the dance movements and their significance. This interactive session is scheduled from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Saturdays

Upcountry Farmers Market: Discover some of the island's finest local souvenirs, savor delectable food, and support local farmers at one of Maui’s major weekly events. Early birds get the best picks at the Upcountry Farmers Market, running from 7:00 to 11:00 am every Saturday at the Kulamalu Town Center in Pukalani.

Sundays

Temple of Peace Sunday Service: Temple of Peace is a tranquil haven that not only nourishes the spirit through its Sunday services held from 10:30AM to 12:30PM but also rejuvenates the body with its on-site spa and healing center. The spa invites relaxation with its hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, and steam room, providing a perfect escape for individuals seeking serenity in Haiku. Initiated by the Maui Food Technology Center, the Maui Sunday Market emerged from the aspiration to invigorate and rejuvenate the Kahului community. While events are a common sight around the island, Kahului seldom witnessed weekly community gatherings, particularly in the evenings. Through the Maui Sunday Market, the aim is to establish a recurring event where both locals and visitors could converge every week, interact with one another, exchange tales, and immerse themselves in Hawaii's rich cultural diversity and the warm embrace of the aloha spirit.

Family Class at Island Art Party: The fun-filled, family-friendly art class at Island Art Party is back! Sundays are designated for Family Class, welcoming individuals aged 8 and up. Choose from a variety of themes like mermaid or sunset scenes, and create your own masterpiece to take home!
